Non of my other vehicles accept motel filters then information technology would not have made a divergence. Simply when I read on here that they have them, I was happy near it. I am aware that the dealers have seen quite a few vehicle with HVAC problems that were actully motel filters that were so muddied, air was severly restricted from passing thru and thus the system was affected. Too, they used 2 filters and those filters were priced rather high at many part stores which was a major complaint of vehicle owners. For example, my CTS has 1 cabin filter and it can cost upward to $twoscore depending on where yous acquire it even though they are mostly all made by the same mfg., MicronAir. Wix and GM parts are MironAir. Owners become po'd having to pay more than $two for an oil or air filter every bit it is, so telling them they accept to buy two cabin filters at a cost over $20 a piece just irks them and they put if off. Under some conditions (dusty, hig pollen areas) the filter may have to be replaced every 6 months or less. The ane in my CTS was extemely dirty in less than i year and 7,500 miles, of which the car was stored for half-dozen months. Mike |

To many people couldn't effigy out where they were I just didn't bother changing them. For some one non inclined or able to exercise in that location own maintenance, I'm sure it was a pain. They do go along the vehicle cleaner though, as Squasher said. I was lamentable to see my 05' not have them Dave 2005 5.3 Reg Cab Shortbed 4x4 |
