Windows 10 will add Auto HDR to over 1,000 PC games

High Dynamic Range (HDR) is on its way to over 1,000 PC games, courtesy of a new feature that Microsoft is testing out. Auto HDR is already available on the Xbox Serial Ten and Xbox Series S, and now information technology's on its way to Windows ten. The Auto HDR feature is now available on Windows x build 21337 or above, which is bachelor to Windows Insiders in the Dev aqueduct.

Microsoft outlines the new characteristic in a DirectX Developer Blog post:

While some game studios develop for HDR gaming PCs past mastering their game natively for HDR, Car HDR for PC will take DirectX xi or DirectX 12 SDR-just games and intelligently expand the color/effulgence range up to HDR. It's a seamless platform feature that will give you an amazing new gaming feel that takes full advantage of your HDR monitor's capabilities. The Auto in the title implies how like shooting fish in a barrel it is for you to enable the feature; a simple settings toggle flip will let you turn the feature on and off.

Auto HDR will work with over ane,000 DirectX eleven and DirectX 12 games, profoundly expanding the library of PC games with a grade of HDR.
